    Head of Onboarding (Risk)

    My client, a leading payments platform based in London, is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Onboarding to join their team. If you have Merchant onboarding (High risk) within acquiring, risk management experience and deep technical knowledge of schemes then get in touch

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement robust risk management strategies and frameworks tailored to the payments industry, with a focus on merchant onboarding.
    • Lead and oversee the risk assessment and due diligence processes for merchant partners, ensuring compliance with payments schemes and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams including Legal, Compliance, and Operations to ensure alignment on risk mitigation strategies and initiatives.
    • Monitor and analyze emerging risks and trends in the payments landscape, providing proactive recommendations to senior management.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on payments scheme requirements, guiding the organization in maintaining compliance and optimizing risk controls.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance risk management processes and capabilities.

    Requirements:

    • Experience in risk management within the payments sector, with a strong understanding of payments schemes and regulations.
    • Track record in developing and implementing effective risk management strategies, particularly in the area of merchant onboarding (specifically High Risk)
    • Leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments.
    • Mindset with the ability to think analytically and make data-driven decisions.
    • Driven individual with a clear path to progression and growth within the organization.
