    Electrical Site Manager
    North London
    Contract

    1st Step Solutions are currently recruiting for an Electrical Site Manager to be based on a residential development in North London. The ideal candidate must have previous residential experience with a Tier 1 M&E Contractor.

    Job Purpose:
    The role will be a site based role, with critical responsibility for the management and success of the project, including customer relations, health and safety, quality, environmental, programme and the cost/value of operations.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Providing leadership, and energy.
    • Controlling prelims, and project budgets.
    • Ensuring the electrical works run to strict programme.
    • Maintaining strict quality control procedures.
    • Procurement and management of the supply chain.
    • Management of change - client/company/supply chain.
    • Lead regular site meetings with all interested parties.
    • Report on site progress to project manager.
    • Produce and manage two week look ahead.
    • Managing sub-contractors to maintain programme targets.
    • Assist with commissioning and handover.
    • Review of the scope of works, produce RAMS documents where required.
    • Issuing technical submittals of all equipment/packages under guidance of the project manager.
    • Work closely with the client to ensure all work is carried out correctly and within the allocated time.
    • Maintain all required site documentation/permits/plant registers.
    • Conducting regular site safety checks.
    • Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems.
    • Maintaining effective long term relationships with the customer and their representatives/advisors.
    • Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems.
    • Reviewing methods of working, alternative materials etc. in order to maximise commercial profitability.
    • Seeking and developing ongoing continuous improvement.
    • Providing aftercare services to the customer.
    • Implementing and maintaining the Company's Policies for Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Development and acting as an exemplar of the Company culture and values.
    • Coaching and motivating subordinates.
    • Any other duties relevant to the role.
    Skills/Qualifications:
    • Relevant Electrical trade qualifications.
    • Current, valid CSCS card.

    * SMSTS/SSSTS.

    • Supervisor/Management experience.
    • Experience of a similar role working for a Tier 1 M&E Contractor.
    • Strong leadership and management skills
