Risk Data Analyst


We are looking for someone who will be highly flexible, interested in the detail, able to identify trends where others may not and enjoy problem solving.

Ability to communicate effectively and present information verbally and in written form.

Experience with data analytics from multiple sources would be beneficial.

  • Develop and manage impactful risk and compliance reporting to identify current or emerging risks facing the company and/or its appointed representatives.
  • Undertakes qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, as required by the Head of Operational Risk and Compliance Director.
  • Analyse complex problems, identify key risk factors and present highlevel recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage the Risk / Loss Event capture and analysis experience and ensure mitigation and resolution plans, issues / findings reporting, and action plans are completed.
  • Support and develop the existing Risk Management Frameworks (RMF) across the Group, including the maintenance and continuous improvement of RMF documentation, including policies, risk assessments and management reporting.
  • Support Risk Owners with the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process to ensure active, known and emerging risks are identified.
  • Assist in the facilitation of the Risk & Compliance Committee (RCC) to ensure smooth and effective governance.
  • Develop and own the 2nd line control testing calendar.
  • System Administrator for the ongoing management and development of TriLine GRC system and key system support for The Hub.
  • Support the Head of Operational Risk with the facilitation and delivery of the internal audit plan alongside our key internal audit partner.
  • Support the Head of Operational Risk with the Operational Resilience framework include the planning and delivery of scenario testing.
  • Provide advice, guidance and training to both first and second line of defence colleagues on Operational Risk framework tools and methodologies.
  • Developing and reviewing ongoing due diligence questionnaires for our suppliers.
  • Ownership of tracking 2nd and 3rd line actions to closure.
Full training will be provided to ensure you can quickly get up to speed, but to be successful in this role you need to demonstrate:

  • Able to identify and solve problems by analysing and interpreting data.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal, analytical, presentation, report writing and communication skills
  • Commercial & business focussed with strong judgement and integrity.
  • Attention to detail and organised, able to prioritise and work under pressure, with willingness to work as a team member and provide support to colleagues during busy periods.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Risk Management knowledge and experience is desirable.
  • Power BI knowledge and experience is desirable.
