- Work on high value and high profile projects, often with national importance, acting across a range of sectors for Government departments, contracting authorities and private sector clients on a variety of complex and high value commercial contracts.
- Mainly focus on a variety of contractual arrangements linked to student accommodation projects.
- Work closely with and coordinate advice from external financial and commercial advisers and the firm's internal procurement, construction, planning, banking, corporate and real estate teams.
- Lead on major projects.
- Be proactive in the team's ambition to do more in the market for "direct let" student accommodation, which is a separate market that does not involve partnership arrangements with Universities.
- Either property, projects or commercial experience from private practice or in-house. Those applying from a commercial background will ideally have a background in PFI/public outsourcing contracts but experience of advising on major commercial contracts in other areas will also be acceptable.

BCL Legal is delighted to be assisting a top 50 national law firm in its recruitment of a Projects Solicitor to join its highly regarded team in Birmingham working on public-private partnership arrangements.
This position is open to either real estate, projects or commercial lawyers who have transferable skills and are keen to gain a further specialism in student accommodation projects.
The role is offered on a full or part-time (4 days a week), permanent basis with flexible working options accommodated and hybrid working as standard.
