We have recently announced the creation of Pilgrim's Shared Services, a fourth stand-alone company, which will bring together some of the support functions of our current three businesses (Moy Park, excluding France and Netherlands, Pilgrim's UK & Pilgrim's Food Masters).

Its purpose is to deliver a high-quality shared service to those three businesses.

As the business grows, this shared service will broaden opportunities for career development as part of a far larger organisation.

We will also continue our investment in technology to drive efficiencies and improved ways of working. Reporting to the
Operational Excellence Manager we are pleased to advise that we are now recruiting for a
Operational Excellence Specialist

The Role

Responsibilities:


  • Op Ex Direction Alignment
  • Align Op Ex direction with your BU Directors and Site Leadership Teams and vice versa.


  • Management

  • Responsible for seeking continuous improvement in utilities themes, together with the websites and the corporate management team.
  • Op Ex KPI & GAP Budget
  • Working alongside your BU Leadership Team build the BU budgets based on KPIs, using the GAP Opening / ZBB methodology.
  • Op Ex KPI & GAP Management
  • To consolidate and have a live working document of Op Ex KPI's, Goals and Gap Closure within your BU's.


  • Variation Plan Tools

  • Regularly review the Op Ex KPI results, highlight variations and challenge in the appropriate areas, support action plans using the Management Tools.


  • Theoretical GAP

  • Manage and lead out the Theoretical GAP's for your respective BU's and site KPI's, working together with the site OEC's and Sustainability team direct and agree the best criteria (Benchmark, Best Practice, Standard)


  • Benchmarking

  • Make comparisons between processes seeking the best practice (Internal and external companies).


  • Routine

  • Manage the action plan for improvement, such as periodic meetings to evaluate direction and evolution as well as implementation of existing good practices.
  • Create Cutover plan in conjunction with business and third parties to mitigate business impact on organisation.
  • Support the business in the gathering of requirements including prioritisation and Fit/Gap
  • Support the Procurement / Legal team in gathering the necessary details to support the RFX process.
  • Agree project cost and benefits, then manage assigned project budgets and progress against plan.

What You'll Need

Essential

  • Experience in Lean Manufacture / Continuous Improvement
  • Experience in a FMCG Industry
  • Experience of embedding new process and methods by involving and influencing people through empowerment and coaching
  • Real impactful gravitas and presence. An individual with energy, stamina and passion.
  • Strong analytical skills & problem solving
  • Experience of implementing new process and methods
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal

Desirable

  • Degree [desirable]
  • 6 Sigma certification (desired)
