Financial Accountant - Hybrid working

Client:
Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a reputable public sector organisation based in Staffordshire. They are looking to identify a high calibre Financial Accountant to join their Finance Team on a permanent basis.

Role:

The Financial Accountant position is an important role within the Finance Team during a busy time, with key involvement on financial reporting and liaising with external auditors.

Duties will include;

Ensuring robust financial controls are established, well understood and being followed across the finance team
Oversight of VAT, and Pensions for the organisation
Assisting with the preparation of tax returns
Liaising with external auditors
Preparation / review of key monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with the preparation of financial reporting
Assisting in the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register

The successful Financial Accountant:

Experienced Accountant with strong technical financial accounting skills
Qualified Accountant (will consider Qualified by experience)
Ability to communicate effectively and partner with senior management and nonfinance staff
