    Octavius Infrastructure are recruiting for an Apprentice Civil Engineer to start in September 2024.     You'll be working on.... (what your role and responsibility is)

    • Learn to use surveying equipment and software under the guidance of experienced engineers.
    • Assist in the interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Contribute ideas and insights to the design process, working closely with the engineering team.
    • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • Learn to identify and address potential challenges and risks associated with construction projects.
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination.
    • Work as part of a team to achieve project milestones and objectives.
    • Participate in on-site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
    • Maintain accurate records of site activities, changes, and approvals.
    • Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge.
    • Seek guidance from experienced engineers to enhance your understanding of civil engineering principles.
    • Contribute to sustainable practices and environmental impact assessments.

      • You will require to show evidence of achieving a Grade 4 or above English and Maths qualifications to gain entry onto the apprenticeship, as well as meet the entry requirements for a chosen University or College.
      • Full UK Driving licence (Preferred)
