An exciting opportunity as arisen for an exception senior operational manager to join the Acute and Integrated Community Care Directorate.

The Directorate consists of 3 service lines, Acute, Urgent and Community Care.

They cover a wide range of specialties including Emergency and Acute Medicine, Critical Care, Medical Specialties and 5 Care Communities within Cheshire East Place.

You will be a key member of the Directorate Management team providing leadership and management support to 5 care communities and working with system partners to support the delivery of the primary care agenda.


If you are confident, well organised, a strong visible leader with high standards, have excellent communication skills and operational experience, alongside extensive experience of working within the community this is an ideal opportunity for you.


We are looking for an individual with a proven track record and substantial operational management experience preferably across acute and care community settings.

You should be able to demonstrate dynamic, inspirational and compassionate leadership skills to help us meet the local and national challenges within a complex system.

We are looking for someone committed to continually striving to achieve excellence in patient focused care.


Hours per week: 37.5

To lead and develop a culture of strong visible leadership within the trust in line with the Trusts values and behaviours framework

Support the development and delivery of the Trust Strategy


Be responsible for the effective operational management of the area of delegated responsibility, reporting to the Deputy Director in all matters affecting the delivery of core services.


Be accountable for performance in those specialties against all key dimensions within the trust performance framework, including the achievement of national access targets, taking corrective action as required.


Ensure staff are developed to their full potential through systematic individual performance development review and the establishment of personal development plans, reflecting the needs of the organisation and the individual.


In conjunction with the Deputy Director lead the development of the Strategic Direction and annual business planning of the Directorate and assist in the determination of policy and strategy with the team.


Provide and develop a working environment and open culture which fosters high morale and commitment among all staff and promotes their well-being and personal development.

Develop a strong understanding of the local and regional provision of services outside the Trust and work with the clinical leads to react to changes in that provision to secure safe and efficient services
