Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Clinical Specialist Dietitian to work within the area of mental health/learning disabilities.

This post will involve working with adults across 5 sites on wards/rehab wards and will involve direct patient contact.

Hours per week


To act as an advanced clinical specialist responsible for the assessment and treatment of patient referred with complex Dietetic and Nutrition requirements and complex physical needs, so contributing to determining clinical diagnosis and overall case management.

To work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team to access and act upon relevant diagnostic tests and make relevant onward recommendations as necessary

To act as lead clinician within specialist area supporting the operational delivery, planning, co-ordination, and evaluation of the Dietetic and Nutrition service provided for patients with complex dietetic and nutritional requirements on the acute hospital wards or as an outlier within MDGH including service development initiatives
