    Health and Safety ManagerLocation:

    Stroud, GloucestershireHours: Monday – FridaySalary: £30,000 per annumOur prestigious client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their leading team in StroudYou will formulate and uphold H&S policies whilst creating and implementing H&S plans in alignment with legal requirements.

    The ideal candidate will also hold a valid certification in Occupational Health and Safety and will be experienced in assessing practices, procedures, and carrying out risk assessments.


    Key Responsibilities of a Health and Safety Manager:

    • Deliver training sessions and presentations on health and safety and accident prevention.
    • Assess equipment and machinery for potential unsafe conditions.
    • Implement health and safety plans in accordance with legal guidelines.
    • Assess risk and ensure adherence.
    • Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities.
    • Generate reports on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
    • Provide recommendations for addressing H&S matters.
    • Identify improvement opportunities and implement H&S plans in the workplace in accordance with legal guidelines.
    • Investigate accidents or incidents to identify causes and manage worker's compensation claims.

    Key Skills of a Health and Safety Manager:

    • Previous experience in a Health & Safety position.
    • Ability to generate reports and create appropriate H&S policies.
    • Knowledge of legal H&S guidelines.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and observational abilities.
    • Valid certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
    • BSc/BA in Safety Management or a related field is desirable
