Description
DC Personnel has a new and exciting permanent opportunity to work with our client in Leicester as their new Mechanical Design Engineer with multiple company benefits.
Hours: 08:15-17:00 Monday-Thursday & 08:15-13:00 FridayPerform mechanical, fluid dynamics, and thermal analysis to verify and enhance designs using both manual calculation and multi-physics simulation finite element analysis software (Ansys)
# Research and development including product testing work as agreed with the Engineering Manager
# Contribute, as part of a wider team, in the collating and submission of PPAP documentation and support the quality department in the APQP application
# Produce engineering drawings and supporting documentation
# Adhere to the quality system, for example, using ECOs
# Conduct technical investigations, develop and maintain appropriate design and support processes, carrying out root cause analysis and initiating corrective action as necessary
# High level of skill with FEA/CFD analysis software
# Good knowledge of 3D Autocad software
# Strong knowledge of plastic material properties and the molding processes associated with this
# Working knowledge of mechanical engineering practices
# Previous experience within the automotive industry is desirable
# Degree qualified within Mechanical Engineering
