Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Monitoring and Projects Officer within the Estates and Facilities Directorate, to monitor performance and compliance to all contractual and legislative requirements across multiple contracts and healthcare premises.


This rewarding and challenging role will require you to audit and review predominately Hard FM services (but also Soft FM) and play a key role in providing assurances to the Trust that the third party managed facilities we occupy are safe and compliant with the relative codes of practice, guidelines and contractual requirements.


Key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Completing frequent site audits to ensure compliance with contractual, statutory and legislative requirements and making considered and sound recommendations for improvement.
  • Resolving operational queries and issues and acting as the daytoday point of contact for respective contracts and services.
  • Interpreting, analysing, and communicating complex technical information to specialists and nonspecialists at different levels
  • Assisting in the production of operational, commercial and compliance documentation.


You'll be part of a small Contract Monitoring team that relies on each individual to play their part to the best of their ability.

As well as the colleagues that you work closely with every day, you'll also be part of the Contract, Governance and Compliance department working on behalf of the Estates and Facilities directorate across Nottinghamshire and neighbouring counties.


The team manage and monitor Estates and Facilities services across the Trust's third party hosted properties through the management of commercial contracts and service level agreements for both Hard and Soft FM services.

Using an effective monitoring and audit programme the team mitigates the risks associated with this type of facility, providing assurances to the Trust at all levels that they are compliant with statutory legislation and contractual obligations whilst ensuring the portfolio is safe and maintained.


The team is also responsible for the management of small projects and dynamic problem operational solving as well as the provision and management of multiple subcontracted soft services across the entire Trust portfolio.

  • Act as the primary point of contact and responsible person in relation to Estates and Facilities services delivered by parties external to the Trust
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver auditing and monitoring programmes to evaluate performance and ensure contracts and services are compliant
  • Represent the Trust and department at various Hard and Soft FM meetings both in person and virtually
  • Review, analyse and interpret both complex and simple data and information (digital and physical) and the built environment as part of a monitoring and auditing programme
  • Ensure statutory and mandatory requirements and policies are being met through the auditing of reports, maintenance records and visual inspection.
