Junior Engine Specialist, you will support, maintain and wrangle Game Engines at Fire Without Smoke.
Together, working with the technical and capture team, you are accountable for the running of game builds and systems that enables the studio to create the best game content possible.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Obtain and increase knowledge of technical hardware and software relating to the use of game engines
- Assist all members of the capture team when it comes to understanding and using game engines
- Accountable for technical updates and ensuring the Studio has the latest solutions for build management
- Support all departments with gamespecific problemsolving, across both client work with the capture department and daytoday studio needs
- Receive training in relevant game engines and inspire a growing technical department to stay on top of all build needs.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of game development methods and pipelines
- Organise, orchestrate and implement correct storage and deployment of highly
- Be a reliable and diligent point of contact for building receipt from clients
- Reinforce the Engine Specialist in their daytoday tasks
- Assist the technical team with their setup and maintenance of computer equipment and project environments so they are fit for use
- Troubleshooting game builds and writing supporting internal documentation
Skills & Experience:
- Some experience working as in a technical capacity at an agency or production company
- Some experience working amongst engines and indevelopment game builds
- Good technical acumen across hardware, software game development pipelines
- Strong project management skills
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Ability to work within, learn from and support technical teams
- High level creative problemsolving skills
