THE ROLE:


We are looking for a Project Coordinator Intern to support the GPMO team in organising and administering the plans to implement new project methodology.

Responsibilities include working closely with Project Managers to prepare comprehensive action plans.

In addition, you will perform various coordinating tasks, such as scheduling and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and producing reports.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as they will need to collaborate with external industry bodies and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines.

The PMO Coordinator key objective is to support overall governance and effective performance management.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting the GPMO in improving internal processes and policies.
  • Delivering focus groups
  • Tracking and managing project benefits
  • Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
  • Assign tasks to internal teams
  • Analyse risks and opportunities
  • Monitor project progress and support in handling any issues that arise
  • Work to eliminate any blockers
  • Use tools to monitor risks, actions, plans and budgets
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
  • Adhoc admin tasks

REQUIREMENTS:


  • An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and stepbystep action plans
  • Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and timemanagement
  • Strong clientfacing and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (primarily Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Collaborating with other department leaders to define, prioritise, and develop projects
  • Analysing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation
  • Producing reports that succinctly and visibly show a desired message
  • Overseeing the development of the project methodology and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards
  • Drafting new and improving existing GPMO policies and processes
  • Either proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or a similar role, or demonstrable experience in organisational skills that can be developed to suit this role
