Wavemaker Worldwide Activation is the digital specialist arm of the worldwide hub.

It powers the digital thinking for Wavemakers largest global clients and acts as a central planning and buying team for clients who buy multimarket digital campaigns from one location.

Our digital thinking brings together media, data and technology to drive business results for our clients.


The Role:


Our clients in Worldwide Activation are split into 4 specialist category hubs, this role will be working with one of our largest entertainment clients SkyShowtime (with potential of other clients in the future), working across multiple markets and multiple channels.

Our goal is to deliver world class Digital media activation for your clients and the business.


For SkyShowtime, you'll be leading the digital strategy and media operations, planning and be able to combine strategic thinking with deep understanding of platforms to help the clients deliver plans that impact their business across multiple countries and markets.

Clients can be activated centrally at Wavemaker London within your team and/or activated in local market, where you will lead unity and digital best practice.

Role context:

  • As businesses continue to be impacted by the fastevolving changes of digitisation, we have an increasingly important role to play in helping our clients navigate the challenges they bring
  • The Activation Partner is responsible for helping to inform a transformation agenda and strategic vision for the clients' entire business, and overseeing the execution of that vision
  • This will often involve working closely with senior stakeholders across the whole organisation including, but not limited to, global client leadership, local market CEO's, Commercial teams, Legal teams.
  • The work will see you oversee and deliver digital media across a number of markets including the Western region centrally from London but also act as a digital leader for local teams in market on best practice digital planning.
  • In the first part of 2023 this will be a more hands on role coordinating the different teams across DCO, Activation, Technology, Ad Operations, Choregraph, Hogarth creative agency and local markets to deliver the optimum digital output for SkyShowtime. This will involve process creation, policing of process and troubleshooting problems within teams you may not be a specialist in.
  • You will be working alongside another Partner in the business side by side managing this client to ensure all work streams are covered and delivered upon.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercials, FTE management, budget and fee forecasting for your client group.
  • Manage a team of international digital experts from Account executives up to digital directors in London.
  • For any markets activating digital locally in market, act as the digital leader, trouble shooter and council when needed.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of your clients' business, consumer purchase journey and the broader industry sector.
  • Understand the challenges and opportunities for your client's business and support the Senior Partner in developing a plan (roadmap) to meet them and deliver competitive advantage
  • Once defined, work with client and agency stakeholders to oversee and manage the delivery of the digital roadmap.
  • Manage the digital channels for the clients under your responsibility, primary channels being Search, Social, Programmatic, IO Display and ad tech.
  • Own the day to day and where applicable, senior client relationships and look for opportunities to broaden our relationship beyond media activation to utilise additional services, like DCO, Insights tools, Audience science, analytics, data management and tech stack consultancy.
  • Quality control the overall deliverables to the client with your specialist digital team.
  • Understand the CGP and TRR scores and help manage the measurement plan for your clients
  • Oversee the strategic responses of daytoday briefs, working with the strategy & client teams, and relating them back to the long term digital roadmap
  • Navigate conversations with clients to ensure initiatives/briefs align with business goals
  • Foster innovative thinking and ideas with particular emphasis on content, digital and technology innovation, and the use of data
  • Demonstrate an understanding for client commercials including effective scoping of resources, quarterly forecasting & helping to identify opportunities for new revenue growth
  • Act as a change agent within Worldwide Activation helping us to drive transformation across the business and set the way of working for the rest of the team.

  • Become an active participant in new business supporting digital efforts as and when new business comes in.
