Mechanical Fitter

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a background in Mechanical Assembly to join our clients team located in Croydon.

The ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of Mechanical Equipment and a proven track record of excellence in their field.

Our client specializes in engineering solutions for power transmission, drive technology, and fluid power


Hours:

Monday to Thursday - 07:00 - 15:00, and Friday, 07:00 - 13:30 (36.Annual bonus (pro rata on year of joining).

Conduct overhauls of mechanical equipment within a workshop environment.
Perform mechanical fitting, assembly, strip, survey, and testing activities.
Interpret drawings, identify components, and assemble or repair mechanical equipment accordingly.
Uphold high standards of quality and efficiency in all tasks.
Demonstrate versatility by carrying out testing, basic wiring, and mechanical fitting as required.
Minimum five years of experience in mechanical fitting, preferably with rotating equipment.
Proficiency in working to strict quality standards such as ISO9001 and RISAS.
Preferably, time-served apprentice trained with relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering.
Familiarity with safety systems like Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments is advantageous.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and waste reduction strategies is beneficial.
