Who is Chevron Traffic Management?
In simple terms, Chevron Traffic Management is the company that sets up temporary road or lane closures, diversions routes or pedestrian walkways to keep road workers and road users safe while roadworks are underway.
It is, of course, much more complicated than that.
It involves consulting, planning, designing, estimating and liaising with our suppliers and our customers to ensure that our schemes are fit for purpose.

About the role:
The TM Estimator role is based at our Somerton depot with the opportunity of hybrid working and you will report directly to the Business Development Manager.
You will be responsible and involved in the preparation of tenders and works opportunities and the compilation of all 'in contract' quotation.
You will also provide support to the commercial teams for secured works.Managing your own workload, you will liaise with operational teams and work with the wider Chevron team, fostering excellent working relationships both internally and externally maximizing all potential business leads and supporting growth.
Key Responsibilities.- Assess tender/quotation conditions upon receipt and identify any risk
- Provide tender handover packs demonstrating strategy at tender stage on all successful bids
- Account Management of a diverse and often time critical customer base
- Review unsuccessful tenders and analyse and implement improvement strategy for future bids to ensure growth targets are met
- Understanding and engaging with colleagues remit/workloads for holiday cover
- Ensuring delivery and communication of a quality 'end to end' process for the customer
- Assist the commercial team on compensation events build ups
- Attend pretender meetings/events
- Carry out other appropriate duties as assigned by your line manager
About You:
You will be logical, accurate and methodical in the way you work, with great oral, verbal and written skills.
You enjoy a balance of working on your own, on your own initiative and enjoy being part of a close-knit team.
Skills:
- Proficient in the use of a PC, Microsoft Office suite of software and ability to work with other business management systems
- An ability to network and create new business relationships
- Essential to have the interpersonal skills to be able to interface successfully with a wide range of people both within and outside the company
- Attention to detail and ability to think laterally and problem solve
- Prioritize workload and demonstrate customer engagement
- Excellent geographical and numerical skills
- Ability to collate and reconcile information for monthly reporting
- Ability to recognise and capitalise on digital services opportunities
- An ability to work within a high performing, fastmoving team
- Highly motivated individual
- Full UK driving licence as travel is a requirement of this role, you may also need to stay away from home periodically to attend meetings which are located at strategic locations nationwide
Desirable:
- NHSS 12a,b,c or d qualifications
- Highways Permitting experience
- Understanding of digital services and product deployment
- Previous experience of the traffic management industry either practical TM experience or experience of working in the highway maintenance sector.
- Other formal commercial or business management qualifications
