SENIOR CLAIMS HANDLER

MIDDLEWICH AREA

FULL TIME PERMANENT

£25-£30K DOE

THE ROLE

Management of all Goods In Transit claim notifications received, adhering to Customer requirements and within agreed SLA's
Management of all notifications in conjunction with insurance broker/company
Follow respective claims processes for each Customer
Investigate all claims thoroughly to achieve a final conclusion including checking the validity of the claim
Information gathering and scrutinising the claim and the information available
Maintain insurance database with accurate record of claim details, accruals and actuals
Analysis of all claims to highlight claim trends/issues and identify root causes and possible solutions
Liaise with insurers, insurance brokers, Customers, subcontractors and third parties as and when required
Deal with incoming insurance invoices in a timely fashion
Management of subcontraction onboarding including all compliance requirements
Management of claims involving subcontractors including reinvoicing where appropriate
Complete meaningful damage reports as and when required
Conduct infield observation to reduce claims
Conduct firstline remedial action with drivers
Attend Customer damage meetings as and when required
Management of speeding and harsh braking (general compliance)

Applicants will hold a full UK driving licence in order to travel to review meetings with insurance brokers, insurance companies and spending necessary time out in the field if damage trends require such action

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Relevant insurance industry qualifications or previous experience as a claims handler in the motor industry
Excellent customer service skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Able to manage highly confidential
