    Description
    ​We are currently partnering with a leading Housing Association based in West Yorkshire, who are recruiting for an Area Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

    This is a full-time position with a salary of £39,247.77 and the start date is subject to notice.
    Duties will include (but are not limited to): Covering no more than 8 appointments per dayAttending property inspections and proactively identifying recurring and persistent repair problemsLooking for solutions to address root causes and minimize costsWorking in close collaboration with colleagues and Area Teams and external partnering contractors Identifying, managing following up repairs and supporting the effective coordination of planned and cyclical maintenanceEnsuring that customers receive a high-quality repairs service that delivers value for money and achieves high levels of customer satisfactionLiaising and working closely with stakeholders, such as contractors/developers, funders, local authorities and consultants within internal departments within the organisationWorking closely with other members of the Asset Team, Community Spaces Team and Neighbourhood Teams to maximise the performance of our assets while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and tenancy and neighbourhood sustainabilityExperience required:Previous experience working in a customer facing service, meeting the requirements of a diverse range of customersExperience of diagnosing and managing repairs to residential propertyProven experience carrying out administrative tasks to a high level of accuracy and qualityUnderstanding of the principles of Value for MoneyGood knowledge of computerised systemsSkills, knowledge and expertise required:Have the ability to meet individual and job-specific targets set by line managerDemonstrable experience of building and maintaining positive working relationships with customersHave previously used data to diagnose business performance issuesAbility to recognise where changes are needed in administrative processes and procedures to provide an efficient and effective serviceAble to make reasoned decisions within policy constraints and work independently without requiring a high level of supervisionBe willing to work flexibly as required to meet the requirements of the roleRewards and Benefits:Pension contributions of up to 10%30 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
