    Department purpose

    The Belfast Finance department provides services to the A&O network of offices covering management and financial accounting & reporting, revenue control (includes eBilling), credit control, accounts payable and tax. Offices currently served are London, Belfast, US, South Africa, Dubai, Israel, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany.

    There is a strong client service ethic and we work to Service Level Agreements, targets and deadlines to deliver in line with client expectations.

    As a Working Capital Team Lead, you will be responsible for approx. 8 direct reports, delivering a working capital service to the US offices. Service coverage may vary from time to time as additional A&O organisations are migrated into the function.

    What you will do

  • Assist the Manager in the transactional Working Capital processes for the relevant Offices
  • Work with the Working Capital Manager to create a training plan to develop team members and upskill in dual job roles
  • Take responsibility for day to day running of newly formed Working Capital Team.
  • Lead the team by allocating daily tasks, managing revenue tracker, advising on debt escalations and bad debt cases, as well as carrying out regular 1-2-1s with each of the team members
  • Allocate work effectively, making realistic compromises when necessary in order to deliver exceptional service
  • What you will have

  • Track record of successfully leading a fast past transactional team
  • Experience & awareness of working with customers across differing countries and cultures
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office and a complex finance systems
  • Ability to deliver high quality client service through the building of strong trusted advisor relationships with customers and manager
  • Encourage a collaborative working environment;
  • Effective leader of self, team and task to ensure quality services are consistently delivered;
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge and understand and identify solutions to technical issues
  • The ability to create and establish credibility with the team very quickly;
  • High level of professionalism at all times and flexible working approach;
  • Agile communicator and able to deliver difficult messages sensitively and resolve conflict;
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills with an aptitude to understand new concepts quickly
  • Ability to manage impact of change within the team
  • Note: hours of work are Monday – Friday 2.00pm – 10.30pm
