The Role


Due to business growth, we are currently seeking a dedicated Quality and Environmental Advisor to join our quality team based in Preston.

This pivotal role is instrumental in ensuring that our projects and employees maintain the highest standards of quality in the water industry.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide expert guidance, support, and training to project delivery teams and employees to ensure strict adherence to quality standards, environmental regulations, and corporate requirements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and audits to uphold compliance and foster a culture of continual improvement.
  • Develop and implement operational processes and documentation aligned with our business Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Monitor and assess Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge performance against objectives and targets.
  • Offer secondary assurance to bolster insight and confidence in our commitment to continual improvement by assessing the efficacy of established processes and standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication on Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) matters among staff, subcontractors, clients, and third parties.

About You


Aligned to our ethos and values, you will have good knowledge in Water/Wastewater schemes or in a similar industry, this is not essential but preferable that experience is within this element.

It goes without saying, you will have excellent communication skills both oral and written, be accurate with a strong focus on attention to detail and thrive in a busy / challenging environment.

Ideally you will;

  • Be proficient in quality management systems and environmental regulations within the water (or related) industry.
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have demonstratable experience in conducting inspections, audits, and delivering impactful training sessions.
  • Possess a proven track record in developing and implementing operational processes and documentation.
  • Be able to effectively monitor KPIs and drive initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Have or be working towards professional qualification in Environmental or Quality Management
