Description
Our client, a provider of good quality affordable homes across Berkshire are currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager to join their growing Procurement & Finance Team


Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Looking after the company's annual procurement budget of £100,000
  • Developing the procurement strategy and policy and ensure appropriate procedures are in place throughout the organisation
  • Taking the lead on the delivery of an effective and valueadded procurement plan ensuring the organisation maximises the value from procurement
  • Ensuring there are effective controls in the procurement practice to ensure compliance across employees and suppliers
  • Providing assurance on compliance to the Chief Executive, Board and senior leadership team
  • Assuming overall responsibility of major procurement projects, including scoping, project management, and reporting on procurement outcomes
  • Developing the procurement service to ensure high levels of performance with an effective and responsive service to all stakeholders
  • Supporting colleagues in the delivery of procurements across various business areas
  • Taking ownership and administration of the electronic tendering portal to facilitate effective procurement delivery
  • Working closely with other departments to understand procurement requirements, set priorities and deliver procurement solutions that drive value for money
  • Offer expert guidance and advice for the delivery of low and medium value procurements

Experience required:


  • CIPS qualified or actively working towards qualifying
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Able to provide accurate and timely specialist guidance on complex issues

  • 37 hours per week

  • Friday 9am5pm
