    Description

    Reporting to the Head of QHSE, this role will supervise a team of 4 QC engineers (2 based in the UK, 2
    based in Italy) and 1 compliance coordinator, to manage quality across EMEA in an engineering and
    manufacturing environment.


    Main job responsibilities:



    • Be part of and help develop a world-class quality team by motivating, coaching, training and
    challenging team members.

    • Co-ordinate the quality team, contractors and global QC engineers, developing procedures and
    managing priorities.

    • Maintain company certifications to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.

    • Improve and introduce new processes, methods and procedures ensuring world class cost
    control, quality and delivery.

    • Analyse operations to optimise product conformity, customer acceptance and our reputation.

    • Co-ordinate all QC activities, inspection and test plans and quality planning. Resolve inspection
    disputes.

    • Manage all customer complaints, NCRs and lessons learned processes, analysing root causes and
    trends and resolving problems.

    • Conduct internal and external audits to check compliance with the standards.

    • Review and authorise pre-qualification documentation.

    • Be the company expert on the global standards for pressure equipment, liaising with notified
    bodies, carrying out hazard analyses etc.

    • Sign off declarations of compliance, certificates of conformance etc on behalf of the company.

    • Travel as required.


    The candidate:


    The right candidate will come to us with a background in manufacturing, specifically fabrication,
    pipework or boiler making, and experience across Quality Assurance and Quality Control.



    • Extensive experience and knowledge of quality systems, nonconformance identification and
    methodical / statistical approach to quality improvement. Must have a detailed knowledge of
    ISO systems.

    • Must have a strong background in fabrication and welding, ASME and EN standards, and the EU
    directives relating to pressure equipment, low voltage, machinery and construction products.

    • Some knowledge of the combustion industry would be helpful.

    • Hands-on, team oriented, honest, loyal leader committed to business improvement processes
    and individual team member success.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering presentations.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work successfully across business disciplines and resolve
    any conflicts.

    • Strong computer skills, confident user of Microsoft Office packages.

    • Must be able to drive and able and willing to travel worldwide.
