    Description

We are looking for a motivated registered clinical scientist, with an interest in treatment planning, to join our friendly team in Radiotherapy Physics.

The postholder will need to participate in all aspects of the service but will specialise in routine treatment planning and treatment planning clinical development under the Lead Clinical Scientist.

A brand-new Brachytherapy facility, a new TrueBeam linear accelerator and an ARIA 17 Oncology management system upgrade have been commissioned to support treating patients with modern equipment and techniques.

Equipment includes 4 Varian linear accelerators (currently 3 TrueBeam and 1 Clinac iX), Prosoma Virtual Simulation software, the Varian Eclipse treatment planning system, 2 wide bore CT scanners with 4DCT (Canon and GE), an XStrahl superficial unit and a Varian GammaMed brachytherapy unit.

As a registered clinical scientist, the postholder will be required to cover all aspects of Radiotherapy Physics but manage the legislative compliance related to radiotherapy imaging and The postholder will work closely with the treatment planning team of dosimetrists, clinical oncologists and radiographers.
