Looking for a new role where you can make a difference every day? We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our Mental Health service in Hackney
.


£22,568.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week, plus Annual Leave pro rata, Pension schemes, staff discounts, healthcare and career progression.

Shift patterns:

Early - 8 am - 4 pm, Late - 2 pm - 10 pm, Sleep in - 10pm - 8am - required once a week or every two weeks.

Expected to work any 5/7 days a week.

We're looking for a Support Worker to join our Mental Health service.


Clarence Road is a CQC registered care home, which has a heavy focus on supporting customers with enduring mental health care and elderly needs.

We provide 24hr high support to 24 customers both female and male.

Our building is a purpose-built home on three floors, offering customers individual bedrooms and the use of shared communal facilities and gardens.

The service is commissioned by East London Foundation Trust with the care contribution from London Borough of Hackney.

Clarence Road is registered care home for adults with enduring mental health illnesses. The care home is a purpose-built building located in Hackney. The care home provides 24hr high support to 15 customers both female and male. The customers have individual bedrooms and the use of shared communal facilities and gardens. The service is commissioned by East London Foundation Trust with the care contribution from London Borough of Hackney.

Our primary focus is to deliver a recovery base support and care service to our customers and enable individuals to lead a more fulfilled life.


  • Undertake keyworking responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/ Manager.
  • Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions.
  • Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
  • Support customers with dignity and respect in all aspects of their day to day living including; social and physical activities, medication, shopping, personal care, meal time assistance and managing finances.

Essential:


  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or experience in the social care/charity sector.
  • Willing to do personal care.

Desirable:


  • Experience working in mental health.
  • Experience working in a CQC registered care setting.
  • Experience of delivering personal care / assistance.

Job Overview:


As a Support Worker, you will be working as part of team and will play an integral role in ensuring that our customers are safe and living their best lives possible.

No two days are alike and a typical day in the home is largely driven by the customers that you are supporting, helping to ensure that they can live with as much independence and choice as possible.

You will play a key role and be part of a team that aims to deliver excellence in all we do.


This is a mental health service where you will be supporting people who may have mobility issues daily tasks could include taking them shopping and organising active park visits.


You'll be part of an amazing, family orientated team where you can receive meals and eat these with the customers if you wish to.

You will need to have good IT and written skills to support with documentation and maintaining records. While there can be some challenging behaviour, sometimes aggression, this is rare.
