    We work predominantly at CAMHS The Beacon, and also support ICST and the CAMHS Crisis Home Intervention Service.

    We welcome application from newly qualified Occupational Therapists, or from those who are about to qualify. We offer preceptorship and developmental programmes for all our staff, and will support you to develop your skills within the Beacon.

    We usually work between 8-6 Monday to Friday ( hours per week), though there may be a requirement to work different hours on occasion due to clinical or service need.

  • Main duties of the job

    What we do:

  • Deliver OT assessment and treatment packages, individually and within our Group Work program.
  • Use OT models of practice, occupation centred goals and outcome measures.
  • We are recovery focussed with therapeutic input and personalised care at the centre of our work.
  • We work in creative, problem-solving ways within Occupational Therapy frameworks and models.
  • We contribute to the wider MDT.
  • We oversee and supervise the work of OT support workers.
  • OT assessments for all young people whilst an inpatient including functional skills assessments, ADL, interests, routines, performance skills and many others.
  • Group interventions have include breakfast club, healthy lifestyle and recovery through therapeutic programme is constantly evolving and developing to align with our patient interests and needs.

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy or Final Year Student about to qualify
  • Registration with the Health Care Professionals Council or pending qualification
  • Experience

  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
