Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified library professional to join our team to provide expert knowledge and evidence services to NHS teams across Somerset which underpin patient care, education, lifelong learning, research and innovation.

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a proactive approach to customer service and have excellent IT skills.

You will have a library qualification or equivalent professional registration, and be proficient in accessing databases and resources to conduct complex evidence searches and provide evidence-based summaries in response to a wide range of clinical and non-clinical queries and providing training when required.

The role will be physically based at Yeovil District Hospital in the Academy Library but you will work as part of the wider Library & Knowledge Services Team for the soon-to-be-merged Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, with colleagues based at Musgrove Park Hospital.

There will be opportunities for cross-site working, visiting community hospital sites and occasional home working.
