The Role:

The QA team are recruiting for a collaborative individual to ensure quality assurance plans are always followed.

You will be responsible for conducting inspections, testing's and supervising activities to guarantee products manufactured meet the quality standards of the company.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan, Coordinate and perform routine inspection activities against weekly/master production plan including first off, inprocess and final inspection of machined components, subassemblies and final layout in line with Quality work instructions and procedures.
  • Conduct Supplier source inspections, first article inspection (FAIR) and support supply chain management (SCM) activities including Incoming Quality Audits (IQA) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Undertake Project and product planning in line with Customer requirements, standard and specification. Prepare and implement Quality Plans, Inspection and Testing as required by project.
  • Conduct preclient final inspections and prepare final quality docpack to plan and facilitate Client inspections onsite against order as required/requested.
  • Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of Calibration database including liaising with UKAS laboratory for calibration of master equipment's. Handling inhouse calibration, identification and control of all equipment's necessary to verify product conformance.
  • Follow NC process for nonconformance reporting, issuing reports and monitoring corrective / preventive measures for effectiveness.
  • Assist in monitoring NC database with root cause analysis (RCA), Corrective / preventive measures (CAPA) to generate NC trends as required/requested for COPQ report.
  • Check and validate product conformance records prior to their electronic retention and compile them into Quality Data Pack (COC bundle) for projects against Customer requirements.
  • Draft, Develop, Improve and Maintain Quality inspection procedures and work instruction in liaison with process stakeholders and support services.
  • Carry out internal process audits as per master audit plan and assist in preparation for external audits and visits.
  • Assist in Product and Process Qualification development by performing, coordinating Internal and External Testing (nondestructive and destructive) and drafting test reports for Customer Approval.

Skills and Experience:


  • Experience as Quality Inspector or similar role within manufacturing environment.
  • Qualification or Time served in an engineering discipline essential with C&G 743 desirable.
  • Selfstarter, able to work to time scales with minimum supervision.
  • Sound inspection abilities including component measurement, reporting and evaluation against specifications, drawings and standards.
  • Knowledge of instrument calibration essential with experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, Internal Audits, Integrated Systems and Procedural requirements
  • Previous experience of product verification against relevant standards and specifications. NPI experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of Quality tools desirable (SPC, 8D, RCA, CAPA, etc.)
  • Familiar with Hardness testing, CNC machining, Welding and Forging process.
  • Knowledge of NDT techniques, Qualification desirable (ideally PCN levelII / ASNT in UT and MPI of welds and forgings).
