    Assistant Principal for EYFS and Year 1 (E Hovingham Primary School

    We are set in the developing inner-city community of Harehills, we're lucky enough to serve the children that make Leeds a diverse metropolis of language and culture, with over 41 languages spoken, 759 NOR and a staff team of 100, we are not your ordinary school, which is why we are looking for the extraordinary.In recent years, we have invested heavily in the EYFS provision to improve our learning environments both indoors and outdoors.

    We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced EYFS professional to grow, lead and deliver on an early years transformation vision from providing 2-3 year old provision through to transition to Year 1. This is an opportunity to bring all your years of experience and truly make a difference by giving our young children the best possible start.

    Closing the gap between young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and their peers is paramount to what we do.     Day to day you will:

    • be accountable for the quality of education and allocating resources to improve outcomes.
    • Support, lead inspire and motivate team of teachers and support staff.
    • Ensure safeguarding processes and systems are central to all that the team does.
    • Support parents and children in engaging in education offer.

    • Your exciting vision will have translated into practice
    • Improved outcomes for our children who will make rapid progress from their starting points.
    • A bespoke EYFS – Year 1 pedagogy so that more children are reaching age related expectations.

    We're open-minded and welcomeallapplicants who believe they would be a good fit. Though ideally, you will have:

    • Experience of leading EYFS and working in an EAL and inner city setting.
    • Exceptional knowledge of child development and leading people.
    • Knowledge of how to improve pupil outcomes in EYFS
