We have a fantastic opportunity for a
Sub-Agent to join our talented
Highways Team on the M1/M62 CSB scheme in
Leeds.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and help us deliver a successful project.

As a
Sub-Agent, you will lead and control a section of the works, according to a specific discipline. You will also lead a team of Section and Site Engineers within the same discipline.


What you'll be doing

  • Motivate the team, manage performance, monitor the competency of team members and undertake training/ coaching as appropriate.
  • Implement a programme of works and closely monitor and manage production ensuring targets are met in a safe manner.
  • Review Method Statements and Risk Assessments and make improvements as appropriate.
  • Carry out trend analysis and identify improvement areas from audits and near misses.
  • Carry out field audits and confirm the sufficiency of control documentation as well safe production onsite.
  • Produce and implement relevant Permits to work.
  • Possess a strong understanding of working around utilities and permit to dig processes.
  • Manage subcontractors.
  • Understand cost and value.

Who we're looking for
-
Civils/Highways projects experience:


  • SMSTS/CSCS accredited
  • Strong knowledge and management of construction process in one or more of the following areas: Earthworks/Drainage, Pavement, Structures, Roadworks.
  • A full understanding of technical requirements and techniques of setting out and coaching of team members.
  • Good working knowledge of Contracts such as the NEC.
  • Strong communication skills with good interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • A good working knowledge of current H&S Legislation.
  • Ability to produce and manage a detailed programme of works.
  • Within a reasonable commutable distance of
    A1/M1 Junction Leeds:

  • Valid UK driving licence & Right to Work in the UK (Essential)
