**Classroom Assistant

  • Year 11 Class In A Pupil Referral Unit
  • Bury St Edmunds
- £75-£90 Per Day**There is an opportunity in the Bury St Edmunds area to assist pupils who are studying to pass their entry-level 1 exams in the summer. These pupils are in year 11 and want to gain qualifications before leaving school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide support under the guidance of a professional and experienced teacher who has the interests of the pupils at heart.


You may be asked to provide 1-1 support with specific pupils and contribute to group discussions as well as providing support to the year 11s throughout the school day.

This could be in the movement breaks or at lunch where pupils may want to go to the shops.

  • Will have experience working with young people.
  • Have a good understanding of SEMH needs and be flexible within a classroom.
  • A great communicator.
  • Passionate about helping young people.
  • Ideally have a childcare qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Proactive and caring.

The Role:


  • This is to support pupils 1:1 who require extra support to help them focus.
  • To support the teacher in delivering lessons.
  • Keep the classroom tidy.
  • Promote a safe and supportive classroom environment.
  • Follow the guidance of experienced Teachers and TAs.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm

Part-time hours: 6-35 per week


Salary:
£75.00-£90.00 per day


Schedule:

Experience:


  • Special education: 1 year (preferred)
