    Overview

    Claims Handler (ULR) Based within our Strata Solicitors in Northamptonshire, you will be reporting directly to the Claims Team Manager within the motor claims handling team.

    You will be handling your own caseload to recover as quickly as possible that client's uninsured motor losses. How you'll make an impact Opening claims on the office case management system / conducting initial enquiries.

    Sending letters of claim and telephone/correspondence negotiation with third parties and third party insurers to achieve settlement in the quickest possible time.

    Issuing court proceedings where required, and conduct of litigated claims to settlement or conclusion.

    On all own handled claims ensure full compliance with all office protocols, client service level agreements and client "key performance indicators".

    Achieving on all own handled claims 100% data integrity compliance on the office case management system.

    Working within and supporting the team achieve and maintain full compliance with all office protocols, client service level agreements and client "key performance indicators".

    Delegation and supervision of appropriate tasks to the Claims Administration Assistants. Full compliance with all financial transactions/Solicitors Accounts Rules.

    Maximise fee earning opportunities without prejudicing client recoveries About you Motor uninsured loss recovery handling in a legal / insurance / claims management environment.

    Demonstrable self-motivation and initiative. Ability to work independently as appropriate but within a defined structure and to work effectively with Peers and Managers. Able to display clear communication skills The willingness to accommodate unexpected situations with flexibility in working extra hours, etc.


    In order of preference:

    5 GCSEs including English and Maths; all at grade C or above (or equivalent) A Law degree/ Insurance Qualification (or equivalent) Why Gallagher Bassett?
