    Description

    Location:
    Cambridge (CB3)

    Duration: 2 months initially

    Hours: 8am until 4pm (Monday to Friday)

    Salary:
    £20 - £25 per hour

    Job Reference: 35258

    Polytec are looking for a Prototype Wirer for our client based in Cambridge. This contract is expected to be for approx. 2 months, but could be extended.

    Responsibilities:

    • Update and improve the electrical wiring on prototype instruments

    Requirements:

    • Experience wiring complex electrical systems
    • Good practical skills in soldering, crimping, cable harnesses and connectors
    • Surface mount PCB manual rework (replacing resistors, capacitors etc)
    • Experience using design tools to draw up system wiring diagrams
    • Experience with electrical safety of machines, mains powered products to 61010 / 60204
    • An electrical qualification would be beneficial
    • Able to follow and define process instructions
