We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and versatile Senior Administrative Assistant to join the UK NEQAS Administration team.
The Senior Administrative Assistant will contribute to the administration of cost-effective and efficient UK National External Quality Assessment Schemes, which supply exercises/surveys and advice to national and international participating Haematology and Blood Transfusion laboratories.
UK NEQAS Haematology and Blood Transfusion is operated by the West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust and this post is an NHS appointment based at Croxley Business Park.
The post holder will take be responsible for stock ordering, registration of participants and assisting in the office and administrative functions for the service.

The trust has recently gained 'teaching hospital' status which reflects the dedicated work of many teams and individuals who have set the standard for delivering high quality training, learning and education at all levels of the workforce.
The successful applicant will provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative support including:
- Acts as an administrative point of contact for participants and distributors of UK NEQAS services.
- Undertakes general administrative tasks, including
- Assisting in the administration of the annual reregistration, preparing quotes, Scanning, filing and assists in the administration team on ad hoc projects.
- Supports the procurement of stock and nonstock goods and stationery items for the UK NEQAS Unit by undertaking stock & inventory checks, tracks orders & Authorises supply invoices to be passed for payment to senior managers.
- Supports the credit control process under the direction of the
Office Manager:
Maintains financial records & prepares credit control letters.
- Supporting the Administration Manager in the management of a total income recovery of more than £3,000,000 from client accounts
