We have a unique opportunity for a Post-Doc which will take you as far as Tokyo
The company is based in Cambridge but has connections with the RIKEN Institute in Japan, where, following your first 3-6 months at the UK site, you will be transferred for the next 3-5 years.

This Post-Doc role will get you involved in developing next-gen Multiferroic materials and technologies which will integrate with eco-friendly electronic devices.
Through characterisation and research of quantum physical properties of novel solid-state multiferroic materials, you will investigate and demonstrate multiple properties such as ferroelectricity, ferromagnetism and ferroelasticity.
What will you need to be considered for this opportunity?
- A PhD in Solid State Physics, Quantum Physics, Materials Sciences or similar
- Knowledge of experimental preparation of solidstate materials samples using sputtering or other inorganic deposition/growth techniques
- Experience of measurement and analysis of materials' properties, including low temperature phenomena (sub4K)
- Experience of designing, preparing and evaluating test devices and prototypes, analysis and development of theoretical physics for solidstate materials and/or quantum phenomenon would also be a real bonus
- You know how to communicate technical concepts to a range of audiences
