Lead Maintenace Engineer andShift Maintenance Electrician

CDS Recruitment and Training Ltd are working with a food manufacturing client who are expanding and require members to the maintenance team at the site in Coventry.

We require Lead Maintenance Engineers and Shift Engineers, with Electrical Bias.


Lead Engineer;

  • Salary £44,000 per annum


  • Company Sick Pay

  • One Calendar Month
  • Overtime at time and half


  • Pension

  • Statutory
  • Working hours: 7am to 7pm 7pm to 7am to cover 7 days a week on a rotating shift; 4 days off 4 days on (2 days, 2 nights).
We are also recruiting Shift Engineers

  • Salary £42,000 per annum

Main Duties

Effectively coordinates the Engineers activities:
work assignments and maximise effectiveness of the shift at all times by ensuring efficient use of each Engineer.
Ensure a team approach with regard to maintenance and hygiene of equipment and support (teams of) operators.
Provide support to team during breaks and absences and work together with Engineers in the completion of their duties.
Ensure that all Work Orders, PM's issued to the shift are completed.
Log all completed Work orders on the database system.

Work with other functions as part of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient running of the equipment and prioritize work as agreed.

Coordinate the activities of the shift team to meet operational targets; working with other functions to ensure mutual objectives are met.

Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations (e.g. attendance, quality, safety, GMP's, etc.) and ensure these are followed to maintain the required standards (e.g. Food Safety, PPE etc.).
Efficiently manage and facilitate teams to resolve mechanical and/or electrical problems in a timely fashion.

Order spare parts as required on shift if unavailable from stock and contact contractors/suppliers as required in order to resolve problems on shift.

Where necessary, must initiate the purchase of parts, tools or equipment completing the relevant order requisition forms with relevant information.

Identify and analyse problems together with teams before crises and determine appropriate action and follow-up.


Qualifications
Previous food processing (automated) industry experience
Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications/time served apprenticeship.
Basic Food Hygiene Basic Health & Safety Data and analytical skills (troubleshoot)
PLC, pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature control, instrumentation, welding, FLT license
