NPD Assistant Technologist to support our meals manufacturing operation based in Grimsby.

About The Role:


Reporting into the Innovation Development Chef, The
NPD Assistant Technologist will be responsible for supporting the daily needs of the Development team and for most of the housekeeping and the daily smooth running of the kitchen.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Support the Development team in preparing customer visits, preparing samples including any shopping.
  • Maintain a level of housekeeping & hygiene in the NPD kitchen as required for a working kitchen.
  • Carry out store reviews and competitor shopping.
  • Run internal benchmarking sessions & manage a rolling calendar to ensure all lines are benchmarked at least once every 6 months.
  • Provide a report to development managers to feed recommendations into the site EPD program.
  • Include generation of customer paperwork, including Ingredient declarations/QUIDs, NRMs, recipe summaries, nutritional's, allergen information, product photography and packaging details.
  • Book and raise PO's for couriers and manage trackers.

About You:

To excel in this
NPD Assistant Technologist role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • IT Skills (keep trackers and spreadsheets up to date)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good numeracy skills, understanding of %s
  • Hands on approach
  • Ability to spot current and potential problems or opportunities, and act quick to avoid or exploit them
  • UK driving license and own vehicle required
