Overview:

MCL is looking for a UK Pensions and Benefits Specialist to join their clients Corporate UK Pensions and Benefits Team.

Duration: 12-month contract with an immediate start.

For Ltd Co. contractors, the role is expected to be outside IR35 pending a Qdos assessment.


Location:
This position is primarily located at the main UK office in Leatherhead. The role will begin with a mix of remote work and occasional office days. The company promotes flexible working.


Responsibilities:

The hired individual will hold a key role in managing benefits and pension plans for UK employees using an in-house online platform. This platform currently serves around 2500 UK employees and is projected to expand to 3750 employees by 2024 through group expansions.

The role involves close collaboration with team members both in the UK and Chennai office, reporting to the UK Pension & Benefits Manager.

This is an initial 12-month opportunity, offering involvement in exciting benefit projects and developments, suitable for full-time or part-time.


Skills, experience, and qualities:


Our ideal candidate:

  • Displays enthusiasm, hard work, friendliness, openness, and collaboration.
  • Has experience in managing UK in-house pensions and benefits, preferably with exposure to defined benefit and defined contribution plans.
  • Desirable experience in HR, Reward, or Payroll fields.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Familiarity with systems like Workday, SAP, ADP, Dynamics, or OneHub is advantageous.
  • Shows interest in understanding corporate functions within a global company.
  • Interest in health and wellness program development is a plus.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to strategic projects, benefit improvements, onboarding new companies, and aligning reward packages.
  • Manage UK benefits team mailbox for communication.
  • Operate benefits through the in-house platform.

This involves:

  • Reviewing data files for payroll and benefit providers.
  • Collaborating with customer success managers for smooth benefits operation.
  • Maintaining and enhancing platform content.
  • Preparing and sending benefit communications to employees.
  • Managing monthly operational processes such as benefit deductions, reconciliations, and more.
  • Assisting with benefit contract renewals and global communication initiatives.
  • Supporting health and wellness programs and compensation aspects.
