Overview:
MCL have an immediate vacancy for a Principal Piping Designer to work on an Onshore Oil Processing FEED Project.
Duration:
The role is for an initial 6 month contract that has an immediate start
Rate:
circa £52.00 per hour.
Location:
The position is based in the clients Leatherhead Campus. Flexible / hybrid working can be discussed, however the expectation is that the role will be office based.
The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment
Responsibilities:
- Develop front end piping layout deliverables including plant layouts.
- Build equipment and route piping as per client standards.
- Build on their knowledge of the technical requirements of piping up individual items of equipment.
- Communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines.
- Supervision of less experienced designers to achieve project outcomes.
- Committed to multicentre project execution.
- Adhere to clients engineering standards and procedures as well as provide input to their development and enhancement.
Skills / Experience:
Essential
- Extensive knowledge of Piping Design and Plant Layout during FEED projects
- Fully converse with SmartPlant 3D (S3D)
- Significant onshore layout experience.
- Good communication skills including ability to present at design reviews.
Desirable
- Experience using Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards and Procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Plant Process or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
