- Implement commercial processes to realise contractual entitlements
- Implement group commercial processes for cost capture, valuation, procurement, and reporting
- Manage subcontractor accounts in line with agreed subcontract documentation
- Establish benchmarks and manage KPIs for contracts
- Prepare commercial reports including cost value reconciliations and cash flow forecasts
- Exercise full cost control of projects, including budgeting and forecasting
- Lead the production of weekly/monthly cost and value reconciliations and forecasts
- Assist in ensuring timely issuance of all notices required under contracts
- Manage all aspects of subcontract procurement and payment
- Support tender processes and strategy
- Provide commercial and financial feedback to relevant support functions
- Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders
- Provide all necessary cost/commercial information under contracts
- Submit applications for payment and change requests in a timely manner
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to team members
- Promote a team-working environment and instill commercial awareness
- Manage and develop individuals within the commercial team
- Undertake Performance Development Reviews for direct reports
- Promote safety culture and participate in regular project meetings
- Degree qualification in quantity surveying/commercial management or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Ability to manage time, set priorities, and work to strict deadlines
- Methodical working style
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word
- Desire to foster client relationships while safeguarding contractual entitlements
- Team player with a determination to coach junior team members
- Motivation and drive to succeed
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Sound knowledge of contracts and industry issues
- Awareness of health, safety, and environmental concerns
