Reed Supply Chain is recruiting for a Production planner to join a global manufacturing business for their site based in Cardiff.


The Company, who are a leading technology manufacturer are looking for an experienced and forward thinking Planner to join their team.


In this role you will have the opportunity to develop your skills working closely with Managers, Production Members and Engineers.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Organise the production workflow for one or multiple products.
  • Prioritising operations to ensure maximum performance and mínimal delay.
  • Improve, implement, and monitor daily operational systems and processes that provide an understanding into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives.
  • Develop and retain relationships with all global department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions concerning operational activity and strategic goals.
  • Ensure clear communication regarding planning and deliveries, whilst closely working with the head of customer experience for constant improvement.
  • Analysis of key performance metrics for operations to ensure efficiency whilst developing and implementing high quality processes that align with company standards.
  • Uphold organisational policies and requirements, ensuring legislative regulations are followed.
  • Ensure all customer commitments are consistently delivered on time.
  • Work in partnership with quality control, warehouse personal and other staff members to ensure smooth working.
  • Determine the required manpower, equipment and raw materials necessary to cover production demand.

Desirables:

  • Proven Production Planner Experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
  • MRP systems experience.
  • Confident use of MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge in maths and statistics.
