Buyer - West Sussex - £35k


I am currently working with a client who are specialists in surveillance and fire control solutions for the defence industry.

They are looking to take on a supply chain buyer who can manage a range of commodities, executing the supply chain strategy to manage a range of commodities, executing the supply chain strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a mixed portfolio of direct and indirect Suppliers.
  • Support the introduction of new products, liaising with engineering to ensure the timely release of parts.
  • Dealing with order processes and purchase orders.

Key skills:

  • Knowledge of materials management and buying commodities.
  • Understanding of supply chain and supplier RFQ and RFI processes.
  • Working knowledge of using MRP/ERP systems.
  • Confident with price negotiation
Experience of Progress Plus / Epicor Kinetic is desirable but not essential.


The salary will be up to £35k depending on experience with great company benefits.
