    To support the directorate manager with the delivery of services within the remit of the post, the agreed portfolio for which includes specific areas within the following Directorates: Critical Care ServicesAnaesthetic Medical staffingPeri-Operative MedicineDigital Lead for Directorate The post holder will work with the relevant Clinical Directors, Clinical Leads, Care Group leadership team, Anaesthetic Directorate Manager, Operational Managers, Heads of Service and Matrons within the Care Group to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care and the efficient use of resources

    TBC Main duties of the job To be responsible for ensuring that within all specific work areas all local and national performance targets and objectives are met.

    To be responsible for ensuring the operational delivery of services; leading and effectively implementing change management initiatives to improve service provision.

    To influence the strategic development and service improvement of services within the agreed portfolio, in conjunction with the Clinical Directors, Care Group Manager, Directorate Manager Theatres and Matrons.

    To participate in strategic development and service improvement of other services across the Care Group in conjunction with the Care Group Manager and relevant Clinical Directors, Clinical Leads and Heads of Department, leading and delivering on specific projects as required.

    The portfolio may change in line with the Deputy Manager's personal development programme and the needs of the services across the Surgical Care Group.

    Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Educated to Master's level or demonstrable equivalent experience Experience Essential criteria Significant experience in staff management in health or social care.

    Experience in an Acute Hospital setting, including working with professionals in community primary and social careExperience and evidence of delivering high standards of performance to achieve national and local targets including RTT, CWT and Organisational 4 Hour Target Technical Skills Competencies Essential criteria Ability to anticipate and plan for changesAbility to build and develop a cohesive high performing team.

    Knowledge Essential criteria Understanding of Local Authorities and Social Services and detailed knowledge of NHS Personal Attributes Essential criteria Able to prioritise work and work well against a background of change and uncertainty.
