    Here at EMIS we're looking for a Credit Control Manager to join our Finance team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

    Reporting to our Head of Transactional Finance, you will be a key member of the Credit Control function.

    This is a newly created role within a rapidly growing business. You will play an integral role of implementing positive change, decreasing debt, reviewing processes and suggesting improvements. Leading the Credit Control team of 5, you will enjoy the responsibility of developing and inspiring members whilst embedding best practice processes.

    This role is split between working in our Leeds office two days a week (Monday & Tuesday) and the rest from home.

    What you'll do

    This is an autonomous role where you are trusted to introduce new and improved ways of working. Whilst managing a team of 5, you will be leading from the front by being the point of escalation for customer accounts, liaising with stakeholders and devising solutions to promote continual improvement in our debt collection process. Using your experience, you will take responsibility for managing the debt reduction and encourage the team to work in the most efficient way.

    Other key responsibilities and accountabilities will include;

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Commercial Finance, Sales, Contracts, Delivery to resolve queries, collection and credit control issues.
    • Monitor and report on key billing and collections metrics, using data to drive decision-making and process improvements.
    • Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to ensure consistent processes and practices across the organisation.
    • Regularly review collections processes and documentations to ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements
    • Identify opportunities for streamlining and enhancing the collections and credit control process.

    Who You'll Be:

    You will be an experienced Credit Control Manager with a proven track record of leading teams to successfully reduce debt.

    Process improvement and showcasing best practice will be something you are passionate about, being able to bring fresh eyes and new ideas to implement with the focus of reducing debt during your tenure.

    We are fast paced, so the ability to work with competing demands and in a changing environment is key.

    Other skills and experience we are looking for you to demonstrate include;

    • Proven track record in credit control, with management/leadership experience
    • Confident communicator and have the ability to partner with key stakeholders in the business
    • Good excel skills, must be able to report in excel, pivot tables, vlookups etc
    • Ability to prioritise workload and workload of team, organisational proficiency
    • Problem solving capabilities, ability to look at things from a new perspective
