    The Economics subject area has developed strengths both in the undertaking of high calibre academic research, and in applying that knowledge to problems relevant to business audiences and public policy makers.

    The four areas of focus within the group are competition policy; industrial economics; Providing assistance to assigned faculty whilst working closely with members of the administrative team, within and outside the department to provide a high-quality experience to students, faculty and staff.

    Please note, this is a part-time role (28 hours per week) and during the probation period this role will require full on-site attendance.

    Thereafter, this role will be based on-campus 3 days per week.

    Support the production and distribution of learning materials for all core and elective teaching (including Virtyal/Hybrid requirements) within the department, in line with internal and external regulations.

    Keep aware of defined policies, procedures and instructions to ensure the delivery of a first-class service to all stakeholders.

    Process faculty expenses resulting from research-related travels, using correct cost centres.
    Purchase any research-related data or materials on behalf of faculty, as required.
    Support organisation of internal and external meetings for faculty, conference calls and travel.

    Liaise as required across the School to ensure efficient information exchange and the smooth delivery of activities enabling an excellent client experience.

    Provide support to the Economics Subject Area Manager with ad hoc projects and events as required.

    Accurately process invoices and expense claims and input financial data into systems to support the tracking of faculty IFB and RAMD budgets.


    Good computer literacy:
    excellent knowledge of standard IT packages (MS Office).
    High level English language skills and ability to draft own correspondence.
