    Job Description

    Pramac, part of the world's leading gas generator and third largest diesel generator manufacturer, is looking for a Workshop Engineer to join our team.

    The selected candidatewill be responsible for:

    • Perform maintenance, repairs, and servicing of Pramac equipment including generators, lighting towers, and handling equipment.
    • Diagnose faults and issues with equipment, utilizing diagnostic tools and manuals to identify root causes accurately.
    • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
    • Repair and replace defective parts as necessary, following manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures.
    • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and service history.
    • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide technical support and assistance.
    • Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate service schedules and prioritize tasks.
    • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times, maintaining a safe working environment.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and product developments to enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices as required.

    About the candidate:

    • Experiencein mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a workshop engineer or similar role, preferably in the power generation or equipment manufacturing industry.
    • Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Familiarity with diagnostic tools, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally for onsite repairs and service calls.
    • Commitment to safety and adherence to health and safety regulations.
    • Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
    • Certifications or training in relevant areas such as generator servicing, electrical installations, or equipment maintenance are advantageous.
