Business Function
EQ's Reward function operates as a Centre of Excellence within the HR Shared Service model.

The Reward, HR, Learning & Development, HR Business Partnering, Resourcing and Engagement Centres of Excellence are supported by our People Services team in Chennaithat deliver our core HR, Payroll and Resourcing support activity.


Role Summary

  • Reporting to the Head of Reward, the purpose of this role is to drive and deliver a commercial, customer focused, proactive and solutions focused specialist reward service to the business and colleagues.
  • The Reward Manager is responsible for identifying, implementing and maintaining reward structures to support the strategic direction of the business. These activities and other project work have a global impact (Equiniti has colleagues located in the UK,USA, India, Poland, The Netherlands and South Africa).
  • You will therefore be responsible for providing expert reward advice, support & data and ensuring relevant statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the Head of Reward in delivering EQ's significant Reward agenda, and EQ's annual and standard remuneration processes (e.g. Salary Review), ensuring they are delivered accurately and within required timeframes. To include the calculation, productionand validation of supporting data and the provision of modelling and analysis to aid decision making.
  • Continually manage the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the overall organisation design, encompassing job evaluation/benchmarking and grading structures.
  • Support the Head of Reward in designing, developing and implementing EQ's Reward plan.
  • Ensure accurate participation in salary surveys and recommend new surveys to ensure adequate representation for all of the organisation's jobs worldwide
  • In concert with the Reward Analyst, manage the delivery of the UK's annual Flexible benefit enrolment and administration processes.
  • Oversee the administration of Group Life, PMI and pension schemes, liaising with stakeholders including our financial advisers.
  • Oversee the preparation of the annual Gender pay report and communication plan.
  • Continually listening to colleagues and understanding impact of the reward plan for all colleagues
  • Ensure that colleagues are treated fairly and accurately in all our reward processes and that they are clear, easy to follow and well communicated
  • Leverage technology and look for ways to simplify our processes so the team can operate more efficiently (e.g. through Workday)
  • Deliver knowledge on the market and competitor remuneration and advise accordingly
  • Lead on the planning and implementation of Reward programmes and projects
  • Secondary point of escalation of compensation and benefit related queries and calculations
  • Oversight of the administration and periodic reporting related to EQ's all colleague LTIP.
  • Assist the wider Global Reward team with projects, reporting and analysis
  • Scan and keep abreast of emerging Reward trends and practices.
  • Lead merger & integration analysis and due diligence
  • Oversight of EQs global recognition plans, ensuring value for money and employee outcomes

Skills, Qualifications, Knowledge and mobility

  • Proven analytical experience; interpreting data and using information to inform business options and outcomes.
  • Sound knowledge of incentive structures, benefits, grading, pay structures, pensions, pay and related legislation.
  • Experience with benchmarking (e.g. Global Grading / Hay methodology)
  • Highly commercial, collaborative, engaging and credible, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Demonstrable project management skills
  • Experience of managing multiple reward programmes and projects, with significant budgetary management in a complex global environment
  • A demonstrable track record of building strong influential relationships, establishing yourself as a trusted partner and expert in Reward
  • Highly proficient in the use of Excel (able to build complex models)
  • Broad knowledge of HR systems, and highly skilled in producing and analysing reports.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data, and to present, analyse and propose recommendations clearly.
  • Occasional travel to UK offices may be necessary.
