    Compliance Officer – Reading

    An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Reading office, for a Compliance Officer to join the team. The ideal candidate will be tasked to provide a wide range of compliance/legal advice, be responsible for managing compliance pre & post-employment checks and responsible for managing all audit processes.

    Responsibilities

    Compliance Responsibilities:

    • Work in partnership with the Sales team to co-ordinate the compliance process ensuring it runs efficiently and in accordance with compliance standards
    • Public Sector compliance - checking on boarding documentation, verifying eligibility to work using third party IDSP, checking references, validating identity documents, NHS specific compliance etc. Ensure all documentation is reviewed and approved in line with agreed standards/policies
    • Ongoing review of internal candidates to ensure that time specific documents have not expired , DBS etc
    • Conduct internal self-audits throughout the year to ensure high standards are met at all times and any identified compliance gaps are rectified as soon as identified
    • Manage Public Sector audits including quarterly internal audits, annual self-audit and annual external audit
    • Generate compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders as required
    • Deal with any compliance issues and complaints efficiently and accurately following the appropriate compliance procedure and using initiative to offer various solutions
    • Design compliance documents as required and ensure all documentation is continually reviewed and updated in line with legislation, framework guidelines and regulations

    Legal Responsibilities:

    • Review of non-standard client terms and conditions
    • Manage and issue Client & Contractor standard terms variations
    • Maintenance of standard terms of business/contracts. Ongoing review of contracts to ensure continue to align with business needs and updated to reflect any changes in legislations and regulations
    • Manage disputes with clients, candidates and suppliers including; chasing unpaid invoices, Commencing/defending county court claims, managing "back-doors", managing ACAS early conciliations
    • Review of supplier and office lease contracts as required
    • Issuing of Key Information Documents to all workers
    • Ensure international candidates are on boarded in line with established rules of engagement
    • Ensure the business is compliant with any changes affecting the industry - e.g. IR35
    • CRM GDPR management including erasure requests, subject access requests, unsubscribe requests
    • Manage enforcement of post restriction covenants and any disputes related to post restriction covenants
    • To adhere to a strict code of confidentiality in respect of any information relating to Roc Search
    • There is an expectation that you will undertake adhoc work on an exceptional basis or provide relevant cover for other team tasks
