A Global Business Advisory Firm is seeking the expertise of a high performing Enterprise Architect (SVP) to join its award-winning Digital Modernisation Practice which provides SME level advisory services into clients across its tech-led portfolio.
As a strategic technology thought leader and expert in enterprise transformation solutions within the Retail Sector, you'll work in close collaboration with the client's senior leadership and wider Product/Engineering Teams to foster technical growth & digitalinnovation, whilst owning and managing all aspects of architecture to ensure their venture is a first-class, technology-driven business.
Globally, Retail is the largest industry sector in the firm and there is a clear intent to develop the EMEA Retail Capability into a market leading position on the foundation of a growing Digital presence.

Enterprise ArchitectResponsibilities Include:
- Lead or colead projects of all sizes, from inception through to completion, with an emphasis on Retail sector clients, ensuring quality delivery on the client engagements in situations with time critical improvement
- Provide architecture expertise across a range of high impact, high value projects, predominantly for Retail clients, including: Digital and Technology strategy, Product strategy and innovation, IT operating model, organisation & governance, IT cost reduction,IT strategic sourcing, enterprise programmes, turnaround of large scale "troubled" projects, operational due diligence, Company Separation (Carveout) or integration (Merger) projects, IT complexity reduction, platforms/infrastructure consolidation
- Contribute to the Digital practice and Retail thought leadership development initiatives, taking ownership for areas of interest that can further develop the practice
- Lead and/or participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities
RequiredEnterprise ArchitectExperience:
- Extensive consulting experience from either a bluechip consultancy or a boutique with a strong focus on architecture
- Mix of bluechip consulting and IT line management experience from a Retail organisation is of interest
- Solutions focused, you possess strong commercial acumen coupled with a strategic awareness of the key issues facing Retailers in the current market
- Deep and demonstrable expertise in enterprise architecture either as an inhouse EA or as a consulting EA working with the business (to establish a new architecture capability or to supplement existing EA teams)
- Experience in developing businessaligned IT architectures and IT strategies
- Knowledge of the associated governance, principles and standards also required.
- Experience of delivering small projects and working across multiple work streams of larger projects
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities, with knowledge of prevalent tools, methodologies and frameworks
- Robust fact gathering, analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience of implementing projects across a number of different environments using different methodologies e.g. waterfall, agile, iterative development
- Experience of working with a variety of Technology platforms both inhouse and packages, infrastructure and systems, key IT vendors for example but not limited to SAP, Oracle, Salesforce or Microsoft
- Knowledge (and ideally experience) of using TOGAF or Zachman
- Flexible to travel across EMEA
Highly Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree. MBA or Master's degree preferred
- Knowledge of an additional language would be advantageous

- Base Salary: £130,000 £170,000
