    Description
    Data Centre Migration Manager required for a client of ours in London, United Kingdom.

    We are looking for someone who will play a pivotal part in orchestrating a strategic data center (DC) move, overseeing the migration of all applications and servers to the latest corporate/central stack.

    Responsibilities

    Lead the planning and coordination efforts for the data center migration, collaborating closely with central teams to define migration strategies and timelines.

    Develop comprehensive migration plans, considering all aspects of the migration process including server provisioning, application dependencies, and testing requirements.

    Oversee the execution of migration activities, ensuring adherence to established plans and timelines.
    Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate the timely setup and configuration of servers to specification.

    Identify potential risks and issues associated with the migration process and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
    Monitor migration activities closely, identifying and resolving any issues or roadblocks that may arise.

    Qualifications
    Proven experience managing large-scale data center migrations, preferably within a corporate or enterprise environment.
    Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, server provisioning, and application deployment processes.
    Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute complex migration projects.
    Solid understanding of quality assurance principles and testing methodologies.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
    Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

    The role is an initial 6-month contract.
